Dutch Design (2): The College Hotel

The College Hotel is being created by a local hospitality school in the Amsterdam Musea Area. It is expected to open officially on December 22, 2004. Not only a hotel in an old school, but also a hotel that will serve for the students of the hospitality school as practice on the job. It will be operated by the Spanish Stein Hotels Group.

Blakes Becomes Dylan

Blakes in Amsterdam, created by Anouschka Hempel, changes its name into Dylan. In 2003 it was taken over by the Spanish Stein Hotels Group.

I now see the name of Lady Weinberg should read as Anouska Hempel rather than Anoushka or Anouschka, and here is the link to Anouska Hempel Design.

The designers of the Airbus have developped cabins that you can push and shove into a building.

Push 20 cabins in a warehouse and you have a Yotel.

Hoteliers can order the cabins at Yotel.

Stavoren’s Stadeshuys

Pim en Jane Keizer bought the old cityhall in Stavoren, a small historic city in the province of Friesland, The Netherlands. It serves already as a wedding location and they are creating a wonderful honeymoonsuite in it.

Its website is under construction, but promises something beautiful.

Fashion makers into hotels

Analik has her own fashion label and a shop in Amsterdam (9 streets shopping area).

Now she has purchased a property in Antwerpen where she will start a new shop and a hotel. In autumn she will open a hotel next to her Amsterdam shop. More to follow under the name: Miauw Suites.
