Time to introduce another unusual hotel.
Tubohotel in Mexico has taken the idea of the Austrian Das Park drainpipe hotel to further perfection by installing a couple of drainpipes in a orchard in a little town, Tepoztlan, Morelos about 45 minutes south of Mexico City.
In their Faq they promise more than just climbing the surrounding mountains:
We offer additional services for groups such as event assistance, family reunions, banquets, weddings, bar mitzvas, aboriginal walk-abouts, ritual blood-lettings . . . Okay, just wanted to see if you were still actually reading. Yes, we do some real kick-ass events with the very lovely and talented celebrity chef, Ana Garcia.
Wow, I have never seen anything like this! Very cool and innovative.
I have stayed in pods similar to this once before and my only critique was that I felt a wee bit claustrophobic at first, but they didn’t have the windows on the front; I feel like that would give an illusion of space.
i love the idea, i am building the first tube hotel on the seaside on a tropical island called langkawi.
starting construction now.
will send some pictures if you like.
ciao
